The epitome of Cycladic architecture is the simple blending of nature and human intervention. Colours and textures of the Mediterranean Sea and vegetation are the protagonists. The forms are balanced and fluid.
Form research
The designed ottoman transfers these characteristics to a piece of furniture. Traditional handmade basketry made out of reeds in a flowing form that imitates the way waves thrust against the shore.
Placing the ottoman on the side introduces an unpredictable movement that draws the user’s attention, giving the impression of a living home.
